My Family
I am the youngest of three children with two older sisters, Briana and Baylee. Briana is an attorney, and Baylee is a registered nurse. My father, Greg, is a flight paramedic with Sanford AirMed, and my mother, Gaye Lynn, is an English teacher at Tri-Valley High School.

Meet Brayden Beaner
I was born and raised in Garretson. I attended Garretson Elementary School, Garretson Middle School, and Garretson High School. Growing up here taught me the importance of hard work, community, and public service.
After graduating from Garretson High School, I earned a bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University and later received a law degree from the University of South Dakota. I became one of the youngest attorneys in South Dakota.
My Accomplishments
During my time on the City Council, I have worked to:
- Increase government transparency and accountability
- Help bring professional resources such as a city engineer and economic development coordinator to Garretson
- Strengthen partnerships that support public safety
- Remove outdated ordinances and modernize city government
- Promote responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars
Why I'm Running for Mayor
I am running for Mayor because Garretson has amazing potential and with some hard work our best days are ahead of us. Our community deserves a city government that is transparent, responsive, and focused on delivering results.
As a City Council member, I have worked to improve transparency, strengthen public safety partnerships, support responsible financial management, and to position our city for growth. As Mayor, I will continue working to improve city services, invest in our community, and ensure residents always know what their city government is doing and why.
